Community Events Schedule

Niroga Institute hosts events through the year to bring Yoga to the general public. Events include clinics for certain conditions, all-day Yoga immersions, Yoga retreats, and outreach programs with the community. Out of respect for people with environmental illness and related health conditions, please do not wear any fragranced products at the Niroga Yoga Studio.

Fellowship Hall is located at the Oakland Peace Center, which shares space with the First Christian Church on 111 Fairmount Ave, Oakland, CA 94611. The address for Fellowship Hall is 259 29th St (diagonal from Grocery Outlet) Oakland, CA 94611. Look for the sandwich board that says "Niroga."

Types of Events
Special Classes and Series - 5-10 week long classes that have a specific focus such as Trauma Sensitive Yoga or a specific chronic condition. No prior Yoga experience is necessary.
Yoga Therapy Workshops - 3 hour workshops designed for the general public to share in the learning of how to use Yoga applications for prevention and alleviation of common chronic conditions, special populations and optimizing health benefits.
Yoga Intensives - Niroga weekend intensives are part the Niroga Yoga Therapist Training. The weekend trainings are offered as advanced training modules for experienced yoga teachers, health care professionals, and serious yoga students who want to enhance their knowledge and skills in specific areas. You do not have to be enrolled in the Yoga Therapy Program to take any of the weekend intensives offered throughout the year.
Retreats - weekend long events that explore many different aspects of Yoga. No prior Yoga experience is necessary.
Community Outreach Program - public events that bring yoga to the community. No prior Yoga experience is necessary.
